What is Encore and why should I use it?

Encore gives you a new way to look at what's in our Library catalogue. Searching is easy with a single search box. Your results are easy to improve.

What about the catalogue I'm used to using?

The catalogue is still available. You can still get tightly-defined author, title and subject searches on the Library catalogue. Encore is good for keyword searching of broad concepts.

What about the Archives and Manuscripts catalogue and Wellcome Images?

Both of these are included in Encore, making it the ideal place to search all the Library holdings at once. Like the Library catalogue, both the Archives and Manuscripts catalogue and Wellcome Images will remain available for use.
