| Summary |
This is a recording of the Tarantella, a musical therapy for people bitten by the tarantula. This version is by Diego Carpitella, based on the music of Ernesto de Martino. The tape contains a brief narrative (in Italian), which explains how the Tarantella would have sounded in the 17th and 18th centuries and also why it was used less and less as a cure. |
